Justin,

What kind of boards are you doing for them?

All of the boards that we do are made in Japan, Thiland, or Korea. They are to say the least.....ROUGH! But, at under $1 a board cost, You wouldn't find them in the states for 5 times the price.

These accts have to be out there everywhere. Finding them is going to be my mission for the next 6 months!

I'll keep all here posted on how best to find them.

Justin,
WOW! Congratulations on a job well done! Just think, you may have to find a local engraver to sub your work out to and so on and so on and so on.

Maybe I phrased my question wrong...

What are the boards that you're doing? Are they for plaques, circuit boards, etc? Trying to get a picture of what you're working on...

Congrads , they look great! Thanks for sharing the picture. I do have one question..I have done only a few of these, do you seal them with anything before or after engraving?

Good luck and keep up the great work!

Take a look at at the pictures attached to the first message...

They look like wood cutting boards for food prep and presentation.

So what happened to his original message and attachments? Why was it deleted? How much sense does it make for an original post/new thread to be deleted while all the subsequent replies continue to come in?

Mr. forum moderator(s),

Can you answer the last (#266.10) posted question?

Maybe the originator of the post removed it??????

It was not removed by the moderators, had to be by the poster.

The moderators, (the three of us), never remove anything without putting a comment in it's place unless it is outright spam, (then the thread is deleted also). This forum has not had any spam yet and the Delphi one only had a little.

John,

The reason you're not seeing the original photo, is that in multiple threads, Justin attached files larger than 50K in size.

The forum administrator(s), who set up the forum, request that, in order to preserve band width and minimize costs, attachments not exceed 50K in file size. As the forum host, I'm compelled to honor that request.

When the images were originally posted, I made a direct appeal to Justin to either resize the image(s), create a link to his website, (where he is free to use a file size of his choice) or risk deletion of the attachments.

After waiting for what I felt was ample time (a couple of days) I had no choice but to delete the attachments. I didn't relish having to make that decision, for I knew the continuity of the thread would be lost.

My action was to demonstrate that we intend to uphold the 50K file size limit. Nothing more.

As far as the original post being deleted in its entirety, that could only have been deleted by Justin himself. As Harvey pointed out, the moderators will never delete a post without an explanation.

Justin,

Thank you. It's a great thread, just lacking a little in the way of the original image. :-)

As an overall statement, you've been quite an asset to the forum, in both the information you're willing to share and the humor you sometimes lend to your posts.

Good stuff!
