I am not associated with this product or company, but have heard good things about it. There may be a workshop in your area to give it a test drive. Who knows, maybe you could become the next Pete Bertrand. :P

they were at the ARA convenction. They heve a light version called tracer which I bought. $200. It makes corel X3 trace look primitive by comparison. I had them do a demo on a scan I had with me that I could not do with X3, within 2min he was done and that was with me talking to him while he did it. I did not need the font identifier part so did not buy full version but that part of the demo was also impressive.

I did the same thing in Vegas and bought the Tracer too. Already installed it and using it. What used to take hours to vectorize now takes minutes.
