So I want to organize my fonts. I did a search and found a link to
http://www.unleash.com/articles/fonts/fontmanage.html from an earlier discussion. I made a new folder and moved a font (I like to do new things in baby steps.) Now Corel says the font is Not Found. In the article is mentions font shortcuts so I thought I would put a shortcut in the font folder. No can do. If I move a bunch of fonts out of the font folder how do I get Corel to find them?

I use Corel 12.

James,

Are you using Font Navigator within CorelDRAW where you drag and drop fonts as needed or some other pgm?

I am using Font Navagator. I dragged (drug?) the font over to install it but do not get a font sample and it is still not found in Corel.

I opened my Fonts folder and now it shows a shortcut but does not show a sample there either.

In Font Manager, if you move a file it does not know where it went, naturally.

Click 'File/Find Fonts' and it will search the entire computer to find the fonts.

You do not need to move the fonts. Just make a folder inside Font Manager and put the fonts in there. Then you can install/deinstall them by the folder.

I have folders for Headlines, semi-fancy, etc. When I need one of those fonts, I install the folder, then uninstall it after the job to keep the font numbers down.

I found a free font viewer on the web. I sorted the uninstalled ones in folders by type and the font thing will easily show you what they look like and install in one click.

Here are the details from a previous post.
