I have a C86 and a 3000.
The ink in the 3000 seems to last a long while, the C86 is a different story.
First are your prints the right color and the correct brightness after transfer? If yes then you are set up correctly, if dark and off color, the profile is not set up properly and you will use too much ink.
On the C86 I learned by using a lot of ink, that it does a clean every time the power is turned on. Once turned on it is left on the whole day. That seems to use less than 1/4 of the ink than turning it on two or three times a day. It still feels to be an excessive amount compared to what the 3000 uses. The C88 may work that way also.
