I have been trying to vector some HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) 1/16". I can cut through it ok, but the edges more or less melt rather than producing a good clean cut. I've tried multiple settings from the highest and fastest to lowest and slowest to no avail...Has anyone else any experience with this?
Thanx.....
Bob

Bob,

Are you using air-assist, when cutting the material?

Sometimes, gases other than air, such as nitrogen can be used with air-assist, to aid in the cutting of finicky substrates.

The great Rodney Gold, had this to say, with respect to air-assist and vector cutting of polycarbonate:

Edited by Harvey to correct th type of gas.

That would be a BIG mistake (think Hindenburg). >.<
