Does anyone have advise on displaying plaques. Right now I just have a handful of different plaques with different plates hung on the wall, all different sizes. Some are sublimated, some engraved, some nothing. It realy looks tacky. Can anyone show me what they have?

Also with trophies and plaques do you display the prices. Since trophies can be changed so many ways I let the customer pick each component out of a supplier book, figure my prices and then quote them. Sometimes this is a long process and if I do not have the items in stock (which is usual) then I am ordering just for 6-7 trophies, sometimes 1, which starts adding into shipping. And it never feels the customer picks a figure from one company while columns, bases etc from another.

Thanks for your help!
Angie

We have about 37 trophies on display, all different sizes and styles with prices on them. We don't even give them other options unless they specifically ask, which is more the exception.

We keep on hand the things we use the most-bases, figures, columns so we don't always have to order.

Sometimes they will vary the style a bit, then you can find the closest style and price accordingly.

Someone once told us on this forum that they put carpet on the wall, and then velcro the plaques to it.

I use nails and hang them in my store. I do not do trophies, so I don't know what to tell you, but if I did, I would display them on shelves.
You can buy brackets fairly cheap and add wood planks on them. You could make them different sizes to make it interesting.

You could also buy some cinderblocks and put some glass over them and use them for a floor display if you have the room. You could even use the underneath part of it.

Just some ideas.
Hope you can use them.

For trophies go into Things Remembered and look at their displays. They are cabinets with display shelving on the top. The extra storage can be a great benefit.

I use a carpet panel for plaques. The response was good so we added a lot more. That went into a blank wall space over a short display area. It works well except that the carpet section of plaques, first display into the store but does not get seen by the customers. They see the wall area with the big plaques and focus on that. The darned trouble is that with Velcro you can rearrange them, on the wall when you add an item it gets to be a creative experience to put up another piece that looks like it belongs there.
