I am working on the attached file for a T-shirt order and have run into a snag.

If you download the file, open it, then select the group of small names that make up the 2007, then convert to curves, you will see what my problem is.

Is there any way to convert the curves and still maintain the spacing that was established when I flowed the text through the area within the 2007?

P.S. This is a 200K file, so I'll remove the file by the end of the day tomorrow.

Hi David,
I don't see the 2007 at all in your file.

Ed,

Sorry, I left out an important note. The 2007 is on Page 2 of the file.

I'm really surprised. I would have thought simply converting to curves would work.

BTW, I spotted a number of double quotes within the text that seemed out of place.

Dave,

Thanks! I'll check the quotes out. I was given the list of names and just imported them.

David,
If you select the paragraph text, the "break apart text from curve" you get you spacing back, but it create an entirely new challenge for you. I think you may have to manually adjust the text after your break it apart......

The short term solution is to send the fonts with the art, but I've run into this before and haven't found a solution. It seems like it ought to be something simple.

Dave,

Here is how you do it.

Export the file as an EPS choose the text to export as curves.

Thats it!

If you import it back into Corel all of the text is curves be sure to bring it in as curves and not text. It worked for me try it.

Use the EPS,PRN,Postscript filter

Mike,

I guess one needs to be smarter than the software. That's a good call. Thanks for the tip. Worked like a charm.

Dave,

The other thing you can do is to embed the fonts when you save it.

I just thought of this but this way they won't need the font.
