Also, if people have some extra time, Bryce and Zion National Parks, located 2-3 hrs. away, in Southern Utah, are definitely worthwhile side trips.

Snow in some parts, but the roads are open. The best part is, February is outside of the normal tourist season, which means it's not mandatory to use shuttles to get through Zion.

Drive right in. It's like having the whole place to yourself.

A couple of years ago we did the helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon. If was great, we landed by the Colorado River and had a box lunch. They pick you and drop you back off at the hotel. The whole trip was about 3-4 hours for about $250
