Just got an email ad from Bur-Lane announcing the "Elite Series" namebadges.
They're the metal namebadges that police/fire/military use, with the main difference being, they come without the clutch back. That comes as good news to people who only have a flatbed engraving machine.
Self-adhesive fasteners (of your choice) can be affixed, after engraving.
Traditionally, this type of badge is routed and color-filled, but I can see other uses for these plates, such as nameplates for a desk set or various gift boxes etc.
3/4 x 3 is the only size being offered (I think). They come in satin and gloss silver and gold.
