Brian,

At bare minimum, you'll need wet/dry sandpaper and a buffing wheel with polishing compund.

There's also a company specializing in the resurfacing of acrylic awards, whose name isn't coming to mind at the moment.

If memory serves, I believe the resurfacing was about $7, so if you accumulate enough pieces that need resurfacing, it's worth having them brought back to life.

Unfortunately, there's no magic cream or acrylic eraser. :-)

I am hoping not to accumulate any more pieces. This mistake was because I inverted the image in Corel because it didn't look right. I was silly mistake on my part and will not do it again.

Brian,

One of these days, when you get enough pieces, bring them out.

We can play golf, while you're waiting for the repair. :-)

Do not take this the wrong way Brian but I had to laugh out loud when I read this - because I always tell myself the same thing - I say to myself -
"That was dumb - I will never do that again" - sometimes it works sometimes it does not. On the acrylics more than once I have engraved without flipping the image before engraving on the back.

Last year at the ARA show I bought some new acrylics from an acrylic company and when they sent them they include several samples already engraved for use as display - 2 or 3 of them were engraved without inverting the image. So we are not the only ones who have made this mistake.
Misery loves company!! :P

Are you coming to LV this year??

I would love to come to Vegas.........but I just had to have a new camera and a complete living room makeover.

I haven't been out there in a while and every year I say this is the year. I would like to meet everyone..........maybe next year! :O)
