If you went to the Vegas show you would know why! The speed of the new machines is 50% faster, and I know the value of a 2001 machine will drop dramatically in the next few years. Here ia a pix of a test I ran today of some anodized Christmas trees. I want to start producing tags out of plastic and I like the double head lasers.
I have not made a final decision on which one to buy yet.

If you can't afford to be down at all it would behoove you to keep a backup.

Our 10 year old Epilog Radius is doing everything again. The new 6 month old Xenetech that can do 150 ips is sitting idle. You turn the swith on and you get a florescent light inside but thats all! Xenetech tech support is stumped as well as I and wants us to trouble shoot by buying a volt meter and going through the inside to find what has failed. It will likely have to be carted up and shipped back to Louisiana. With our busy production, being without a laser would be a major problem.

The wife said I have to sell this one to buy a new one. Case closed....
I totally understand your point but if I do have a failure I can always send the work to one of the fine talented professional members here in the Engravers forum! I bet Harvey would do a Great job :>

Frank - it is really none of my business but I am somewhat confused. The laser sold but it says your reserve price was not met and the auction was not scheduled to end till Sat. - How did it sell? I was not looking for a laser but I am trying figure out Ebay a little better.

Joe,

there was an option of Buy Now, maybe that is how the transaction was made?

Ruben - Yes, I know the "buy now" option was $9900+, but the way I read it on ebay it said his minimum was not met and it said nothing about the "buy now" option being used. Like I told Frank, I am not in the market for a laser and what he got is none of my business but I was curious as how it did sell.

On another note, I was sorry that I did not get to spend some time talking with you at the Beach Party - My biggest regret is not getting time to talk with several people before they left. There is always next year.

Joe,

well yes I just was kind of guessing, let see what frank has to said
now I'm curios too.

Joe,
same here I didn't get to talk with you and some of the others but at
least I can relate a face with a name :-) , now We have a motive to go the 2008 Beach Party (Palace Party) and chat a little and get to now each other
