How do I go about changing the dimensions of more than one object at a time?
Point in case: I currently have a drawing with 250 X 3mm circles, I need to change them all to 4mm.
Is it possible to do it in one operation without having to do them idividually?

For some reason I've never had to do this before so I'm stumped.

I haven't tried this but can you select them all and the increase the percentage by the right number to get a 4mm circle?

With the eyedropper tool, you can select properties of an existing object and apply it to others. Select the eyedropper tool, select the properties you want to copy from the property toolbar, switch to the paintbucket dropper, and then select each object. Unfortunately, you have to do this one at a time, but it is slightly easier. As far as I know, you can't select a group, or can't apply the changes to the group.

The Find and Replace (in version 12) allows you to search and replace fonts, colors, outlines, but it doesn't work by properties (ie size).

Another alternative is a macro.

The % option doesn't work, tried that.

I used the eyedropper option already but it is really tedious, not an ideal solution.

If anyone has a macros for this it would be great, I have no experience with creating or using macros so any help would be appreciated.

If you can preplan it, and are using Version 9, (X3 has a different way), do the first, then clone the second, then duplicate the clone.

That way whatever you change in the master changes throughout the clones and duplicates of clones.

I do not remember the way to do the equivalent in X3.

You are right. ALT, e, n works. I was so used to CTRL-n that I was frustrated that it now does nothing. Now I know how to do it in X3.

I also heard somewhere that they were trying to get rid of cloning and using something in symbols instead.

Out of curiosity, I tried the % way...it works for me in X3, unless I'm miss understanding what's trying to be done. I made a circle that was 2", then copy and pasted that a few times. Then I selected them all and changed the % to 150%. All the circles were changed to 3". Is this not what the original question was about?

Thanks for all the replies.

The holes are for LED's placed around a control panel for a train track, so if I select them all at once and increase the % it moves all of the circles from their positions as they are placed in different locations around the track.

I have already finished the job but I will try the Macros first chance I get, it may come in very handy in the future.
