Back on topic:

My deceased father-in-law use to respond to the question "How are you feeling?" or "How to you feel" with the response:

"With my fingers."

He had bone cancer, prostate cancer, diabetes, emphysema, pernicious anemia, and a heart condition! That is positive thinking.

Nancy,
Thank you for thinking of me.

I have a 30 watt laserpro laser. Dual Shuttle Geoknight heat press, Epson 4000 sublimation printer, Oki 3200 laser printer for OEM transfers with transfer paper, a Crystal blat 3432 Sand blaster/carver and will have a Vision diamond drag/rotary engraver in about a month.

So I think, short of an embroidery machine, I am fully equipped for the A&E business.

I also have a delta 10" contractors tablesaw, and a delta 14" lathe, and assorted woodworking tools...

There is also an itch that I have under my right shoulder blade that I cannot seem to scratch. ( insert laugh here)

Thank you again for thinking of me.

Chuck,

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm sure that Paul will be getting in touch with you before too long.

Sorry, I can't scratch that itch--you're too far away.

To all:
Every day is a good day. At my age, past 76, I look forward to every day. There are days I do not want to do anything. There are days I am busy all day and into the early evening. As I write this my shop is waiting for me to open up and start lettering over 1000 medals for school track meet, up coming spring contests for local college, livestock show in progress, and a Epilog Helix laser to arrive Tuesday. My most comfortable clothes, a old denim shirt, old denim overalls. A warm breakfast and a wife of 54 years that loves me and I love her.
I wish all to have as good a day as I do.
Best wishes,
Sam, from "Sunny Southern Oklahoma".

I had a great guy I worked with years ago. When he was feeling down, he would say "I complained about my shoes until I looked down and saw a man with no feet" He was always up beat. The type of person that makes you feel good just to be around him. :D

I'm sorry, but you will have trouble gaining any traction or credibility with me relating to this topic, as you write from your humble abode in MAUI, with an apparent endless supply of "dough". B-)

My dad use to say "don't sweat the small stuff" and almost every day I wish I could easily follow his advice. We all take too much for granted but isn't that just our nature?

Paul,

Sadly, I think it is human nature, which is why *I* think it is important to remind ourselves from time to time.....about "not sweating the small stuff"

I have a freind in Canada that seems to NEVER have a bad day. I once asked him how he does it. His reply? Just like your Dad's with an addition.

"I don't sweat the small stuff, and it's ALL small stuff"... which when you think about it, is true.

One cannot have an abode IN Maui. Unless of course it is underground. But I do have a home ON Maui.

Again Ed, whatever it is that I have done to offend you, I'm truly sorry.

Hmmm....let me think about it.

. --->O.K. , I thought about it. Nope, you've done NOTHING to offend me.

BTW, when you quote me, please use the entire quote. Otherwise, somebody might get confused having read something out of context.

And, BTW II, how come when I joke wit ya, you think you've offended me, but when others do, it's all FUN? :O)

Because they don't seem quite so serious about it.

Chuck,

While I completely understand your logic (and I agree 100%), PLEASE don't apply the same logic to your flights.....

When the flight attendant announces for all to get on the plane, just let them know that THEY can get on the plane but YOU are getting IN the plane! ;-)

Steve, you never saw the Twilight Zone? With William Shatner, and the guy on the wing throwing parts of the plane into the engine? That was ME ( insert laugh here) :D

On the otherhand, "Maui" has become the vernacular for a destination. So, although Chuck is technically or gramatically correct, most people might be describing the "destination" in their use of "Maui". As in...
"I live in Los Angeles". Not "I live ON Los Angeles".

WHATever!!! :O)
