I have 24 pieces of lead crystal I am trying to laser engrave. The engraving is coming out spotty. Some letters look good others faint. Any suggestions. If you are on now I am in trouble an need help.

As I said earlier, I will not attempt to laser leaded glass crystal. You now know why. When you up the power to get those light areas, the other areas fracture in the letters. Leaded glass is just not up to the challenge of the laser. I have tried the tricks of detergent and wet newspaper, it was never acceptable to me.

If you're committed to doing it try two or three passes at lower power and think about turning the job down the next time.

My "frosted white" cermark arrived today, I wonder if that would be a reasonable alternative when you need to mark crystal? I'll know tomorrow how it works on glass, then I'll have to try some crystal.
