I ordered one to try it not realizing it was probably laserable. Actually is a nice looking frame.

Can someone give me tips on engraving the back (grey)? Do I paint the letters when completed? I suppose I could just test it but don't want to ruin it if I don't have to.

Thanks,

Brian

Brian, I bought a case of those at the ARA and they just arrived the other day. The rep that sold them to me said to mask them, then after lasering just use a spray paint to fill it. I have not tried it yet so I am anxious to find out how yours turns out. Again, I have not tried it, that is just the instructions they gave me.

Maybe others are looking for info also. You also get a view count increase if it is unread and someone uses 'Mark All As Read'.

Where are you seeing the number of views? Which forum style are you using. It is no longer showing in the Blue format, it was giving trouble on the server, so we need to know where it is still showing.

Thanks in advance for that info.

Brian,

The "Member Views" showed the number of individuals who had viewed the thread.

Number of "views" is always higher than member views and can be attributed to the same people coming back time after time.

As Harvey said, something in the "Member Views" code was having an affect on the slow downs we were experiencing, so it was removed. We may bring it back when we get onto a server where the MySQL database is on the same "box" as the rest of our files.

Brian, I finally got around to engraving the glass frame. I engraved it at 100 speed, 50 power on my 30 watt LaserPro. It engraved fine but the paint is not looking very good. I am using very cheap spray paint so I am going to get a better paint and try it that way.

My biggest problem with these frames is I can only engrave 3 sides because the easel on the back covers one side and cannot be removed.
