There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the file. did you run Font Navigator and then install the font?

Copy it to your desk top and drag it into your font file through Windows Explorer and it will load

Ram,

I downloaded, copied into windows>font> Used bitstream to install it, and opened it in Corel.

It DID crash bitstream twice however but it DID work.

I am using X3

It didn't install when you copied it into the "Windows>Fonts" folder? Or do you have a temporary holding folder for fonts, called font (no "s")?

It very well may have. However I was not sure Corel would read the font unless I used bitstream.

When you copy a font to the Windows>Fonts folder, a window should pop-up showing the installation process. Usually, it is a very quick process to install one font: seconds.

CorelDraw, as well as other applications, use the system installed fonts. Bitstream Navigator manipulates the system fonts, not those specific to Corel products. The fonts are initialized to the application when the application loads. If the application is loaded when you install a font, you'll need to quit the application and then open it for the font to be recognized.

I've commented about this topic in the past, but I'll repeat it here.

Bitstream Navigator is VERY buggy and will install and uninstall fonts while browsing fonts - even though you didn't tell it to. As you also noticed, it crashes - a lot.

There are several reliable font viewers and intallers out there. I have been using Font Expert for a few years now with virtually no problem. There are many freeware font viewers available too.

At least with XP, Corel 12 & X3 do not need to be closed and then re-opened to recognize a newly-installed font, but many software programs do. I install and uninstall fonts every day either with FE or via Fonts in the Control Panel. (You can also select Start, Run and type Fonts and it will launch the folder.) It's been several weeks since I rebooted the XP machine or closed Corel and it never has problems recognizing a newly installed font.

I have found over the years that dragging and dropping the font into the system font folder is not always a reliable install into the registry. It works most of the time, but not all of the time.
