Hi folks!

Before I go reinventing the wheel, does anyone know if there any templates available for legend plates? I've got a local electrical contractor interested, and I want to be prepared when he orders.

Thanks!

Ed,

I do a lot of these for different companies and I probably have at least 10 to 12 different ones that I have had to make to their request. Seems like no two are a like in size that they request.

This might be something that you will have to "invent" for the customer as they come in. They are really easy to make templates for as long as the customer provides the measurements wanted. See if they will give you a sample or at least a copy(scanned or copied) of the exact size needed.

As for templates already available my software didn't provide any, of course it's pretty old.........

That's sort of what I figured would happen. I know that there are some standard(?) sizes in plastic supply catalogs, and I was hopeful.

Thanks Puck!

These are fairly easy to make. first make a box, then a circle and weld them together. Make another circle for the switch opening and center it
then make a small box (the key to keep the plate in place) and weld that to the smaller circle and you're ready to engrave.

Hi Mike

Here's 3 I just did by following your instructions. That weld command is fun!

Corel is really quite easy if you can find all the keys. This forum and the corel site are both great at helping you along.

But now you know how to customize these individually for your customers.

Good Job!
