We used to have a guy working for us on straight commission. His main focus was to visit schools and large companies to establish new business.
I think he'd be more of a business development person than a sales rep.
As was stated previously, finding the right person is key. He wasn't the right person, so he no longer works for me. We now have one part-time employee that only works in the shop a couple of days each week. This allows ME to go visit our customers, and to drum up new business. |
