We are looking for a special rubber which is suitable for being engraved by laser engraving machines. It's also completely odorless. The rubber which we are looking for has grey colour and the indication '' SPECIAL RUBBER FOR LASER ENGRAVING (Q)''. The SignWarehouse sells it as well. I think it comes from Laserbits but you don't need a minimum to buy from SignWarehouse if you only want to buy 1 or 2 sheets to try it out.
I have purchased it from the SignWarehouse and while it does still have a bit of an odor, I think it's a lot less that you get from laserable rubber that is not low odor
