If global warming is real, it hasn't worked its way to Missouri yet. It's April 9th, and I just looked out the front of my store and see it is snowing.

We had snow too! WEIRD!

It didn't stick but it was really fun to watch it falling!

And I thought that the mini ice age that killed off the Vikings in Greenland was finally near an end. Snow flurries in the past few days here in northern and southern NJ also. (I am not in Philadelphia at the moment.) Glad I am not farther north this past week, 20" of snow.

When you finally understand it completely... it changes.

Janna's brother called her Saturday and said that it was snowing in Dallas. It got into the upper 30's that night, but we didn't see any snow.

It's still pretty cool here....was about 47* when I came in this morning. The shop is a perfect 67* though!

We're supposed to have mixtures of rain and snow this week here (central NY state). But it's really nothing unusual. We've had snow as late as the end of May in other years. Early April is not too unusual for some light snow.

I just looked at the National Weather Service records for this area. In 1991 we had a high on this date of 75 degrees. In 1997 we had a high of 29 degrees. Well, todays high was 42, so fits within that range. I also see that in 1960 on this date we had 11-1/2 inches of snow. Today we had a light flurry early and nothing more. I'd rather have the flurry that a foot of snow. :O

The temps are the high for the day:

- - Day - - - - This Year - - - Last Year - - - Highest - - - - - - Lowest

Christmas . . . . . 38 . . . . . 43 . . . . . . 58 (1964) . . . . . 1 (1980)
New Years . . . . . 46 . . . . . 33 . . . . . . 56 (1973) . . . . . 15 (1968)
Easter. . . . . . . 32 . . . . . 38 . . . . . . 80 (1991) . . . . . 25 (1972)

Easter is usually warmer than Christmas, but not always. For example, in 1971 Christmas here was a more normal 35 degrees, but a few months later April 8th was 25 degrees.

Now if we get snow in July, I'm going to start packing for my move to the south. ;-)

And here in the Montana Rockies, we've been golfing since mid March, played both Friday and Saturday of last week, in the hi 60's both days and got a sun burn.

If anyone wants to visit Glacier National park while there are still glaciers, you ought to do it soon.

Not bad...I do well to shoot in the low 70's most of the time.

I always shoot in the high 60's to low 70's.... I find it much too uncomfortable when the temps are any higher.... :O)
