Can someone point me to some suppliers for metal blanks I can use for Laser OEM Heat Transfer. I'm looking for oval shaped, Brass, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, etc. Approximately 3" x 5" or 4"x 6" or maybe 5" x 7".

Thanks,

Don

Hi Don,

I can have oval's rounds and other custom shaped blanks made of many different metals (some of which work very well with oem) including stainless and aluminum.... but minimums would probably need to be at least 100-200 pieces to make it cost effective.

Production will take several weeks as the dies require time to manufacture. Our die fees are very reasonable compared to average.......Approximately $145-$200 instead of $800- $1000. Obviously the die fee depends on the size and complexity of the job itself.

To quote you, I would need you to supply a drawing of the shape you want, with scaling or to scale, and a quantity range that you would be interested in.

Feel free to e-mail me at bgenrichatrallyeproductions.com change the at to @ and no spaces.

Thanks,

Brian Genrich

George at GP Plastics & Metal (296 Earl Drive N.W., Warren OH 44483-1112) is very reasonable. He has some health problems but I have found him very reliable and very quick. His phone # is 330-847-2929.

There was talk a while back about having metal parts cut by water jet machines. I do not remember anything about what the minimums might be.

Minimums are normaly down to 1 piece, but the programming charges get ya ;)

Waterjet cuts typicaly leave a bad burr on thin stock aluminum....Harder metals aren't too bad though.

Thanks for that information, never heard that aluminum would give a problem but good to know.

Brian,

That's true. The company has a long history in die cut metal, but it may be limited to smaller pieces.
