I finally got decent results lasering my degree! Attached are examples in granite and in maple.

I tried scanning the original document but that didn't work so well because the bottom seal is gold foil. So, I took digital photos without the flash and ended up doing a lot of clean up work on the graphics. I just matched the font as best I could and retyped the words. For the signatures I took digital photos and removed the background.
