I know there a number of very sensible people who jump out of planes, but I am not one of them. Matter of fact, I have a strict policy about airplanes. If it isn't big enough to have someone push a drink cart down the isle, I don't get on them. Even at an air museum, I can look in through a window to see all I need to see.

Here is some things I learned about Epson over the years:

Epson support will run the printer through several resets, cleaning cycles etc. depending on what is wrong. If it does not solve the problem they will send you another printer, if your within or even a little over a year.

When you call service be sure to have original epson cartridges on hand or at least know the part number. They will ask you to read the numbers off of the cartridge. If you don't have epson carts in the printer they will insist you buy a new set before continuing with help. Using non epson carts will not void your warranty.

They like to act like your out of warranty if your close to a year. Insist you have a receipt with a date that is within a year. They will continue to help you then. Otherwise you might have to pay for the service phone support. By the way, keep your receipt. They will want a copy when they exchange your printer.

Keep the ink from the printer you are returning. Epson has 2 sets of shipping instructions. One says you must return the ink and the other says remove the ink. It is better to ship the printer without ink installed anyway. Keep your ink!

They will want to put a hold on a credit card to send you a printer. But you can also send in your printer first, without a credit card. They will send you the replacement when they receive your printer. The printers ship from here in Indianapolis. I also get mine the next day, how is that for service!

You will get new ink with the printer you get from epson.

I have bought printers not working off of ebay and was able to get replacement printers. Always ask for the receipt when buying off of ebay.

Surfynol 465 is the secret ingredient in most epson cleaning kits off of ebay. It dissolves most ink safely.

Well thats all I can think of right now. But over the years I have owned about 22 epsons. At least that is how I registered for the epson settlement law suit. Still waiting for that case to be finalized.
I have sold cleaning kits on ebay in the past and can help with that too!
