I recently had a job requiring the use of stencil board. I had not previously used the material.

The purpose of this post is to call attention to this material which is available as a paper board, rather stiff and paintable and also mylar in varying thicknesses.

Both laser beautifully and enable you to offer custom stencils as part of your services. You may be way ahead of me on this but it seems like a painless way to add to your business.

The material I used came from this company.

It may well be that they haven't encountered the problem yet. One thing about JDS--they take back and replace whatever you tell them is bad.

I also got some brass I didn't like--nothing wrong with it but it wasn't the look I wanted. They took that back with no hassle.

thanks David,

was nicely tapped on the shoulder via email..

Kinda stupid question to ask really :P :-$

anyway..

In Australia a sheet of rowmark, core colours ( lasermax) will set you back round $ 69.00 and non core colours round $ 75.00

Imagine paying that for sheets of plastic ! (devil)

Aussie Dollar is .75 US cents at the moment...

regards

Cast acrylic, is what's typically used in the production of the acrylic awards you've seen in the trade magazines etc.

Here are some past discussions detailing the attributes of each type of acrylic:
