On some special awards that come in boxes I have made a label that had a replica of the plaque on it.
Glad you brought it up, I have to start doing that again when appropriate.

Becky,
I must assume that your handwriting is much better than mine. My handwriting is horrible.
I do not label onesies twosies either but I have been fortunate to have picked up a few repeat customers who order for shows or competitions with many different trophies or plaques. When I did the first order I was boxing up the trophies and I thought to myself "How would I like to receive a box of trophies for 10 different classes with six places each all wrapped with no idea which is which?" Fortunately I thought that early in the packing so I only had to unbox a few to label them. I cut and pasted the plate info into Word and printed on Avery 8160 labels because that is the size I had on hand. Could use smaller but why change?
I have never had anybody complain that I made it too easy on them. :-)

Glad to be able to have a good idea once in a while.

James-
You are also way luckier than I to have gotten bigger jobs than me. LOL
I actually don't do too many awards and the jobs I have gotten, I have had to distinguish between 3 different awards or 8 different clocks at a time. Nothing earth shattering...
If I had repeat business like yours in those quantities I would absolutely label them all. I think it's more professional and is easier for a customer to organize their order without have to take each out of the box.

I usually get some type of printed list in excel or word for bigger orders.
If not I usually scan it in to paste the text.
I just print a copy of the list on regular paper, slice and dice it and tape
it to the outside.
Mostly only on acrylics and awards that come in boxes. A lot of trophies and regular plaques don't get labeled unless they request it.

Becky,
I have a free tutorial that shows you how they work. You don't need a file, you just haven't found them yet.
